Korean Science and Tech Institute shows off giant robo-legs

18 July 2007 15:12 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

The Hubo FX-1 has been created by the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.

A fair old lump at 1.74 metres tall and weighing 150kg this can move around, via joystick control, at human walking speed.

We like it 'cos it looks a bit like the robot Ripley got in to bash the evil momma-monster in "Aliens" - just missing those giant pincer arms - but we feel sure they could be retro-fitted.
