Sony NWD-B100 MP3 player announced - EXCLUSIVE

23 July 2007 17:13 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Sony has launched a new MP3 player range called the NWD-B100 Series that allows you to drag and drop music straight on to the player without the need of dedicated Sony software.

Available in a 1GB or 2GB model, the new pencil thin, 30-gram player will automatically search and copy across MP3 and WMA files in your "My Music" folder on a PC as well as monitor it for changes adding new tracks to the player as you do to the folder.

However, those without a music collection on their PC will also be able to connect the NWD-B100 series straight in to their micro hi-fi or mini audio system and record files straight from their music collection.

Users will be able to search tracks via File/Folder or Song/Album/Artist name using the 3-line colour LCD display.

The NWD-B100 will come in two chrome colours; black and white.

Other features include a 6-mode equalizer, as well as, the ability to re-charge its battery through the USB port when connected to your computer.

In addition, the NWD-B103F/B105F versions come with a built-in FM tuner and a in-built microphone and voice recorder to record audio.

The WALKMAN NWD-B100 Series will be available in the UK from August 2007, pricing is £35 for the 1GB model and £45 for the 1GB with radio. For the 2GB its £45 and £55 respectively.
