Microsoft slashes prices of Vista in China Piracy brings down prices message from the move

Microsoft has slashed the price of all versions of Vista in China.
The price reductions announced means the software now costs almost two thirds less than it did.
The reason? To try and "wean" Chinese computer users off the epidemic of freely available pirated versions of Vista.
Not sure that's the message that you want to be sending to the world...
