Blurb has launched in the UK. A creative book publishing service, popular in the States, Blurb lets you design your own professional quality books.

Using the drag-and-drop-type BookSmart software that you can download from the Blurb website for free, you can design your own Blurb book on whatever subject takes your fancy.

The BookSmart software offers a good variety of book layouts that you can use as templates. These layouts have been created by professional book designers.

The books are available as hard or softback and particularly lend themselves to publishing a collection of photos, whether it's a party pictures, a tome dedicated to you pet or something a bit more arty.

Blurb is celebrating its European launch by working with Flickr, to publish the commemorative 24 Hours of Flickr book.

This book illustrates life as it happened around the world in one day via photos taken by Flickr community members.

Proceeds from the sale of the book will benefit Medecins Sans Frontières, the book is available for purchase in the Blurb Bookstore now.
