Microsoft patents instant messaging on your TV

14 August 2007 17:27 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

Microsoft has patented a version of its instant messaging service that is designed to work on your television, DVD or media player.

Not only will it keep track of everything you've watched, but it will let you chat to your messaging buddies while you watch it.

Alternatively you could use the application to let a buddy know there's something else on that they might like:

"Quik Eugene! chnl 3294, docu on y peeps cant spel rite or communic8 proply!"
