Brando offers a USB powered "CD Destroyer"

Let the destruction commence

NEWS: 22 August 2007 11:43 GMT by Amy-Mae Elliott

You shred sensitive documents for security but what do you do with CDs and DVDs that contain sensitive data?

It's dangerous to break them but you can't just throw them away. Brando thinks its USB Powered CD Destroyer is the answer.

With three carbon steel "knurled" points the device permanently destroys the surface of CDs and DVDs rendering the data-bearing surfaces unreadable within five seconds.

Your sensitive data cannot be read and you don't have to break disks risking gawd-only knows what injuries.

It would not be advisable to use this on your colleague's permanently-played "Best of Annoying Drum and Bass" 19-disc compilation set, but it sure would be fun.
