Sharp has announced a prototype LCD television at IFA 2007 in Berlin, Germany, that is incredibly thin.

The new model which will be just 20mm thick and 29mm in the thickest part will be the world's thinnest television.

Although no date has been set up the company as to when you'll be able to get one in your home, the new designs are expected to revolutionise living spaces.

Other specs of the new TV include a contrast ratio of 100,000:1, and power consumption of 140 kWh/year in the 50-inch model.
