Apple has quietly launched TV shows in the UK iTunes Music store this morning.

The move, which has been promised along with movies for some time now means that UK customers will be able to download more than just Pixar animated shorts and choose from a wide selection of programmes such as Channel 4's Lost and Grey's Anatomy.

There is also a range of cartoons available such as Disney's Kim Possible and SpongeBob Square Pants.

Other shows include South Park and Pimp My Ride.

The TV shows are available for download at £1.89, almost twice as much as compared to the $1.99 US episode costs.

The iTunes Store in the UK currently offers 28 TV programmes for download which can be viewed on a PC or Mac, fifth generation iPod, or on a widescreen TV with Apple TV.

No word as yet as to whether the UK will be getting Movies anytime soon.

We will keep you posted.
