JBL launches 420 and 610 Reference headphones

Wired and wireless models

NEWS: 4 September 2007 11:19 GMT by Amy-Mae Elliott

JBL have launched two new models into their Reference headphones line - the 420 and 610 are now available.

JBL claim these new arrivals have the same features as their predecessors with first-class comfort, and high-quality audio reproduction for the ultimate in music-listening pleasure.

The JBL Reference 420 headphones are designed for traveling. They offer apparently crisp sound with plenty of bass.

Weighing in at 170g, they're portable but "tough enough to withstand the hazards that come with traveling".

The JBL Reference 610 headphones are Bluetooth capable that let you set volume, track selection, play and pause by means of an integrated controller located directly on the headphones.

The dongle necessary for iPod operation is supplied and they can obviously still be connected, via cable, to other multimedia devices, including MP3 and CD players.

Both sets of headphones feature ear pads and headbands made from genuine leather, which claim to provide a high degree of comfort, even during long periods of use.

Advanced transducers apparently provide crystal-clear frequency response and distortion-free bass.

All the headphones in the JBL Reference line are compatible with iPod and MP3 players, desktop computers and laptops, and most other portable audio devices.

UK pricing and availability to be confirmed.
