Logitech launches MX5500 Revolution keyboard and mouse combo

MX 500 Revolution keyboard and MX Revolution mouse bundled for $170

NEWS: 4 September 2007 11:44 GMT by Amy-Mae Elliott

Logitech has launched the cordless desktop MX 500 Revolution keyboard that offers an integrated LCD display and the MX Revolution cordless laser mouse as a bundled package.

The rechargeable MX Revolution laser mouse charges in a stand and offers "hyper-fast" scrolling and a high-performance laser engine that claims smooth, reliable tracking.

The keyboard, with its "dynamic keyboard display" (an integrated LCD) shows you info relating to playing music, using the calculator, receiving incoming message notifications, and lets you check the time and date.

The keyboard also offers Windows Vista "hot-keys" functionality that gives Vista users one-touch access to features such as Flip3D, Gadgets and Zoom.

Logitech says their "Zero Degree Tilt" keyboard design offers a natural comfortable typing experience, while the mouse is sculpted for comfort too.

The cordlessness is thanks to Bluetooth 2.0 technology which Logitech say offers an easy, reliable cordless connection from up to 30 feet with virtually no interference.

The package works with Windows, including the aforementioned Vista, and will be $170 in the States, UK pricing and availability to be confirmed.
