This freaky looking thing is "Brian the Brain", an interactive toy packed with entertainment features.
You'll be glad to note there's educational features - an encyclopedia to help with the kid's homework, he can play digital music and for lighter moments can trot out jokes.
Brian apparently learns to recognise yout voice, can move his eyes (sounds creepy) and make his brain glow in different hues.
Due in Tescos stores will in time for Christmas for £79.99.
