Review: The DV4000 has some appeal as a novelty gadget. It will playback MP3s, take surprisingly clear voice notes and record movie clips almost good enough to use on the web. I have no complaints about its storage or file management. However, if you are looking for a digital camera or camcorder that will take photographs or family videos, buy something else. Do not be fooled by the 4 Megapixel claim, the DV4000 cannot take a good photo: There is no autostabilizer of any kind, almost all your pictures will be blurry. There is no flash and no way to adjust the aperture settings, shooting in anything but ideal light conditions is pointless. There is no optical zoom, and like any digital zoom, 4x zoom on the DV4000 just makes the quality of the photo worse. In summary, this thing will not suffice as your one digital camera. If you have money to burn on gadgets though, itís not entirely useless.
