Quick review

The good

Cage is perfectly cast as the weary, nightmare ridden cop with a conscience, hopefully, this may signal the end for pointless remakes of 70s horror classics

The bad

The sight of Cage mugging an old woman while dressed in a bear suit, the grainy, B-movie horror of the original is replaced by unintentional farce, Ellen Burstyn’s camp performance is enough to make Alan “Prince of Thieves” Rickman blush

Verdict

So, if you can think of nothing better to do than going to see this, why not stay home and tidy your bedroom?
