Quick review

The good: Tobin Bell’s “Jigsaw” is one of the most memorable big screen bad guys in recent years, fans of bloody carnage will no doubt enjoy every blood drenched second, Shawnee Smith brings plenty of menace with her sudden changes of mood as well as pathos in her private moments of despair
The bad: Too much time has been spent inventing revoltingly complicated death scenarios at the expense of a decent plot, the constant flashbacks and exposition destroy the flow of the movie, newcomers to the series will find it virtually impossible to work out what the hell is going on
Verdict: Lionsgate's horror franchise lurches to an end, but someone ought to have put it out of its misery long ago
