Bobby - DVD review
Can Estevez pull off a drama?
Quick Review
| Published: | 12 June 2007
| The good: | Estevez’s style is reminiscent of the late, great Robert Altman, the best all-star cast assembled in recent years, Estevez draws interesting comparisons between Vietnam and the Iraq war
| The bad: | Trying to give depth to 22 main characters is an impossible mission, Ashton Kutcher’s “comic” interludes clash with the tone of the rest of the film, the subject may be worthy but with no thrills or spills Bobby is hard to love
| Verdict: | Structural weaknesses aside, however, Bobby is a worthy work of faction
