The good: Easy to use, image quality, focusing and macro mode, an extra £40, and it’s a bundle with the Selphy CP 520 printer
The bad: Confusing combined lens zoom and four-way controller, heavy power drain on AA cells, LCD flares in bright conditions, LCD blacks out during flash recharge, limited sensitivity options
Verdict: The PowerShot A460 is an entry level digital compact with some neat and advanced features that make it look a cut above the run of the mill models filling the shop’s shelves
