Review: I have had an RX600 since December 2004 and it has been great (I use it stand-alone) but the cartridges don't seem to print anything like the number of prints advertised. In June I also got the message "service required - parts inside your printer need to be replaced" I have contacted a local Epson engineer who says the ink pads need replacing - costing about £50 - but as they are difficult to access the total cost would be about £130 so it is not worth doing, I should just get a new printer. Crazy or what. The printer was fine in all other respects and the enlarging facility has been particularly useful, but I still think that it is poor to have failed so soon.

Review: Same problem as Jane Wenger with an RX600 - after a year's use I've got the 'service required' message. It seems I have to take the printer to a service centre to have the waste ink pads changed and the counter reset. There's no mention of this in the printer documentation - Epson are sneaky! My general impression is this printer was overpriced.

Review: I hope that those of you who purchase the newly advertised Epson RX620 have better luck with it than I did with the RX600. I purchased the Epson Stylus Photo RX600 on Dec. 31, 2004 and received it during the month of Jan. 2005. I have used it for one year and suddenly the screen reads" "Service required. Parts inside your printer need to be replaced. See your User's Guide for support information". This occurred two months ago and since that time, I have not been able to contact anyone at EPSON in the support/service division... It worked well when it worked but is absolutely no good at this time!

Review: I bought the RX620 about 3 weeks ago. Printer works fine, scanning A4 docs is fine. But I have had a repeated problem with scanning negatives and slides. I re-installed the drivers and software twice, without success. I contacted Epson support who took 2 days to reply and they advised me to remove the drivers and software (again) which I have done. I still find that after the preview scan I get the message "No response from the scanner" and the card reader still does not work. Can’t fault the printer but somehow there is a problem with the scanner software that they don’t seem able to resolve.

Review: Very good printer that produces amazing photo quality prints, and the negative scans are truly amazing! There are a few things in the review which are a bit fishy...like the software; I found it solid as a rock. The review also pointed out that it took 10 minutes to print a borderless A4 photo!???......mine took about a minute, and they also say it took 15 minutes to scan in some negatives!? Again under a minute on mine. Brilliant Photo Printer!

Review: The RX620 is replacing my Epson 425 all-in-one which met its death following a table collapse! Anyway, the 620 is superb - yes I had initial software problems and had to reboot my laptop twice but got there in the end. I was amazed at the difference in print quality between the two Epson all in ones... The scan quality is excellent and I am going to check out the slide and negative scan modes soon so watch this space! The card slots work faultlessly and the USB port is a useful addition too. The LCD screen is very clear and makes navigating the menus very easy... The print speed is fairly slow but the image detail is superb! Another great product from Epson... I can thoroughly recommend this product and the £150 price tag is very reasonable for a well built and most excellent printer and scanner combined.

Review: This printer was truly magnificent, when I got it home I was expecting it to be not as good as I thought but I was terribly wrong. The print quality is out of this world, produces dry photos instantly, where some printers take a few hours to dry. And you can’t knock this printer over print speed when the quality is great. I compared it to my HP AIO and this costs £30.00 more and produces a much less sharper image compared to the Epson. - A GREAT PRODUCT - recommend it to everyone.

Review: I recently purchased the RX620 and too much dismay I am having the same problems as with the older version RX600, that of problems with the software installations. I called support and we tried a few things until we eventually locked up my PC and received an error message that even they had never heard of. I had to reboot the whole system and start as if it were new in order to run windows. All newly added programs were lost and had to be reinstalled. I had it working once but it would not scan via the PC, only print which means there was a twain conflict somewhere, but no one knows where. I was referred to Microsoft support as if it was their problem. But the price tag for the support was to high I declined. So far this is a great stand-alone piece of machinery, but that is not what I wanted it for! The software is still full of bugs that need to be ironed out.
