Review: Generally this is a good camera however it does suffer from a few annoying shortcomings, not the least of which is the small capacity of the battery. I wrote to Kodak about this problem and they completely ignored me.
Another problem is camera shake. If you hold the camera 'rock steady' you will get good close-up and average landscape results without too much effort. On the other hand, if you try to use the excellent zoom without a tripod, camera shake is guaranteed to result.
Also, the higher the ISO setting you use the more 'grainy' the image.
Not as good as my wife's Fuji F40.
Conclusion - the V610 is a gimmick. Kodak could have made the performace better had they thought about it.
Pros: Compact attractive design and sturdy. Excellent zoom for such a small camera. Some good on-board utilities such as effortless synchronization of 'sweep' shots to make up a single panoramic pacture and the ability to isolate and save a single frame from a movie.
The onboard Bluetooth connectivity means that you can transmit a picture from your camera directly onto a phone or similar Bluetooth enabled device.
Cons: Battery capacity is very disappointing. You need to use a tripod on zoom shots to avoid camera shake. Poor high ISO results.
