Review: A good looking solid piece of equipment. Includes Windows Mobile 5 and accepts an SD card (up to 2Gb). Plenty of accessories available. Higher model P550 has WiFi & Bluetooth.
Pros: Good size and weight. Many excellent deals available (including TomTom instead of default Mio software).
Cons: The reason I signed up to Pocket-Lint - a significant number of these devices come with a defective GPS capability and the support provided by Mio (postage is covered but it's return to base) is truly attrocious - 35p a minute and helpdesk will not ring back (after 6 weeks of chasing they did ring once - and that was when it did not work after repair) - the support centre damaged the screen by using a biro as a stylus and I cannot get any response from their head office - buy one of the many equivalent packages from a reputable manufacturer.

Review: Received mine last week and it certainly looks good. Cold starting do take some time, but compared to a Quest no big difference. Loaded mine with handymap pro and no problem at all. Sirfstar does make a big defference i pick up 5 sats indoors. All in all very basic unit and i actually bought it for the gps function. Got mine from handnav in uk and i live in South Africa
Pros: Looks, Sirfstar 3, Win Mobile 5
Cons: No carry-bag and battery does not last long while on foot.
