Review: Have just got one of these for well under £200 from Costco. John Lewis price is extortionate!

Two things. First performance. Auditioned it against the Apple iHiFi and Monitor audio iDeck in John Lewis ;-). It's so much better that it's embarassing. Big, bouncy bass really nice vocals... totally different class to the Apple and MA.

You've marked it down for not having tone controls. That's bonkers! Don't know about you but i use the EQ controls on the iPod. Why would you want another set of EQ controls on the unit? All that would do is introduce another source of distortion...
Pros: Best sounding ipod speaker solution by a mile, proper hi-fi quality build
Cons: Don't buy it at John Lewis - Costco is MUCH cheaper
