Review: Firstly I would let to say I'm not a head-in-sand-look-at-nothing-else Apple fan - far from it. I've owned a couple of iPods prior to the new Nano and had some serious issues with both of them, not to mention the love hate relationship I have with iTunes!

So, bearing that in mind, why did I buy a shiny new black 8G iPod Nano?! The answer is several reasons, unlike the site reviewer I Iove the new shape and size. It fits perfectly in my wallet and the build quality is solid. I think the screen is stunning (amazing contrast!) and would quite happily watch short length video on it. Probably the biggest feature that sold it to me though was the updated user interface and sound quality. I use a pair of high quality in-ear Sony headphones and find the sound quality even sharper than my Sony walkman phone - which is very good! The cover flow feature and ability to specify a user defined search is great. Battery life is fantastic for such a small device - unlike my Archos 605 WiFi which quietly eats up the battery at an alarming rate when you have a track paused!

So in short I love my iPod Nano which I bought to give me something I can keep with me all the time - I have my Archos as my holiday/trip away/house party portable with everything on.

I'm not sure how the site reviewer can call it an average mp3 player when, to my mind, the user interface and sound quality is almost everything in a ultra portable mp3 device!
Pros: Size & shape, screen, sound and build quality, user interface
Cons: FM radio but that really isn't a biggie for me!
