Review: 15/7/2008. Just bought the Jabra BT2020 today and am impressed so far. I really like this headset and I am a bluetooth headset junkie - I have spent more on headsets than on cellphones over the past several years as I am constantly in search of the perfect headset. I keep trying new headsets and end up going back to a Plantronics 510 because most headsets are too uncomfortable to wear all day. This one seems like it might be able to compete.

I don't totally agree with Pocket-lint's review. I wear glasses (wire-rimmed) and the BT2020 fits comfortably even with my glasses on. You probably need to try it on to see before you buy. The packaging is such that it can be opened and then closed back up neatly if you opt not to buy...not the kind of packaging you need a saw and tin snips to open.

The fact that lights/indicators are sparse is not a problem for me - I wear a headset all the time - not taking it off/putting it back on all the time. To me, putting it on/taking it off defeats the whole hands-free concept.

So, the fact that this headset can be worn comfortably for long stretches is a plus and I can't see signal lights when the headset is being worn anyway. So, no problem there.

Operation is very simple - though very little documentation comes with the headset.

Once you play with it, it doesn't take a steep learning curve. There are two buttons - the volume button and a multi-function button.

Tap the volume button to up the volume, hold down the volume button to lower the volume. Truth is, it is easier to access the volume button on my BlackJack II. So, I keep the headset volume at max and use the volume adjustment on my cellphone instead.

The multi-function button does everything else:

- Hold down the multi-function button until you get a solid light to pair, turn on and turn off. Initially this is how you pair it with your cellphone as well.

-Tap the multi-function button to answer and end calls.

-Hold down the multi-function button until you hear a beep to activate voice dialing - works with my Samsung BJ II and Voice Command quite well.

-Double-tap the multi-function button to redial last number.

It asked for my score and I give it an 8 for great. I think it deserves better than a 7 for good, but really it probably fits at about 7.5 for pretty good...not quite great, but pretty close.

Pros: -Comfortable

-Easy to use

-Although large, its appearance and positioin is discreet

-In standby mode, the light stops flashing - this is a must for me - I hate a flashing light in my ear when I'm in a conference room or when driving a car after dark.

Cons: -Sound quality is fairly good, but not perfect. Still, quite good for the price compared to others in the same price range.

-If you wear a collared shirt, the location of the boom mic (below the ear) may cause some background noise when you turn your head, etc.
