Review: These are OK; I ordered a pair from Frozen CPU.com for about $40. I know you can get them cheaper elsewhere. They’re not bad for someone who wants to add a LITTLE colour to their desk, and I do mean little, then these are good for you. However I think they could benefit from a couple more LED’s in them, as my 20in widescreen easily covers up any lighting these things give off while flashing to music. They aren’t too bad when my monitor is completely off, but that defeats the purpose of being able to have some lighting while using my monitor. Overall the sound sensitivity could use a lot of work, I’m thinking about drilling a few large holes in it to see if that helps. When the unit is set to “always on” they are nice and bright, but again they don’t light up your room, just maybe your keyboard. Cold cathodes are a better buy (even if you’ll use them outside your PC) and are 4 times as bright as these things.
