Review: The e398 is a piece of junk, it can't be upgraded to 1GB transflash, there’s no USB driver or firmware support from Motorola.

Review: The style is awesome but it’s hard to operate like how to open the browser and web access!

Review: All the buttons have broken apart from the end call key. It was a brilliant phone up until then though.

Review: I've had my E398 for 4 months now. For the first 3 months it was fine. However, for the last month it has been crashing and the keys freeze up. This is my first Motorola phone, and it will be my last.

Review: For all those who are having problems with this phone, this is how you fix it.....don't lock the keypad ever, don't rush the phone...or if that doesn’t work go to ‘settings’...’initial settings’ and then go ‘master reset’...and it will reset the phone to its original settings...but don't worry it won't erase anything on your phone but if you click ‘master clear’ then you will have nothing on your phone. The code to master reset is 000000......hope that helps. I love my phone now as I have fixed it and it runs like an angel.

Review: This phone is a great phone but I agree with TLAW1 that every time I play on it or do something it just will freeze and won't let me push any buttons so I have to turn it off and wait for like an hour till it will go again...and when it does crash it will only let me push 9...which is so annoying. But overall a good phone...when it’s going.

Review: Overall the image quality is good. The sound is outstanding. The size & shape is also ok. But two things most importantly - the built-in camera cannot capture video & there is no fm radio!

Review: I’m very satisfied with the e398 apart from the fact that there is no voice recorder. Motorola built the recorder but then didn’t include it for normal use like for recording conversations, I don’t know why! The rhythm light is very astonishing though. Overall I give this phone 9/10.

Review: I’ve had my e398 for about a month and it’s a good phone except for the glitches - it keeps crashing, the mp3 player doesn’t recognise my mp3s and the keys freeze up. I mean we pay for this phone and it doesn’t work properly sort it out Motorola.

Review: This phone is mint because it’s got all the latest stuff on it like Bluetooth, camera with flash but most importantly it’s got an mp3 player, I mean for that price it’s cheaper to buy a phone and mp3 in one than just an mp3 player on its own. No one has mentioned this yet but when you have the e398 in your hand you feel special because it’s quite cheap. If you’re thinking of getting one don’t even hesitate.

Review: I have had the phone for about 1 month and it is great, I’m loving it big time. No problems really except the memory card doesn’t hold too much, it’s around 12 mp3’s total for a 64M card. You can double this and buy a 128M memory card for $170.00, this will give you 24 Mp3s but this is still not that good. Who knows they may bring out a 512MB card one day. But overall great phone, 10/10.

Review: After almost one full year with the phone, here are my thoughts: <br>The Good: Great features, memory card, solid battery life and speak times, MP3 player, great sound, rhythm lights. <br>The Bad: Moto software (slow, crashes), writing SMS is not as fluid as Nokia, particularly for symbols. <br>The Ugly: Alarm feature and ringtone selection have frozen (I can't select or change them). <br>Overall, it has been a great phone. I've been a lifelong Nokia user, but the Moto is very sharp. It's fairly comfortable on the ear, the clarity is great, it fits well in the hand, and it has fun features but retains a professional look. Within the first month, the alarm function stopped working. In fact, when I try to select it, my phone freezes. Also, it's annoying that I can't change the ring tones. Luckily, I had programmed certain ringtones for my friends and family; however, when anyone else calls, it's that silly, technoish "Hello Moto" ringtone. I keep it on vibrate now.

Review: I think that the Motorola E98 is a terrific phone because of the music sensitive lights, mp3 player with the 3d surround sound speakers (22hz), the exceptional VGA camera and the long lasting battery! When I first got the phone it didn’t look so good but now I have had it for a little while its fantastic!

Review: The Motorola e398 is a great multi functional phone. It has everything you could ask for from an mp3 player, vga camera, a bright display, TFT screen. The best part is its speakers, great sound! Above all its price is very comforting when you see all its features. GO FOR IT!
