Review: My 3 year old loves this thing and has mastered the three games we've bought him! It's a great learning tool. However, it took me months to find an adapter as everyone listed on the VSmile website was out of them! I managed to find one on eBay! Another bad thing about this thing is that you have to be prepared to hear your child yell that it isn't working and you have to come and unplug the adapter or take the batteries out and put them back because it decides not to work sometimes. Overall an okay game console, but I wouldn't have paid as much for it had I known it was going to be like this.

Review: I wish I had read your reviews prior to my purchase of the Vsmile pocket! I am going through batteries like crazy and have everyone searching for an adaptor for me. I have made 2 senseless purchases on adaptors that I thought would work. I have purchased rechargeable batteries at an additional expense of $12.00 now I need a charger for another expense. It’s a huge scam.

Review: I was disappointed with the Vsmile. I thought that the graphics reminded me of the very first Nintendo made 20 years ago. My children on the other hand don't seem to mind, but I feel I would have been better off buying a PlayStation and only allowing educational games.

Review: I too had trouble finding the adapter. I finally found one and purchased an extra controller and now the game doesn’t work, may be the adapter is not right?

Review: Both my daughters love playing with this console. I picked it up before Christmas last year for half-price in Woolworths and I have to say I got the Vtech adaptor for £5.99 on line very easily (I think it was from Amazon - but it was a while ago now). The games are easily understood for little ones and there is a bigger range of them now - but advisable to shop around as these can vary widely in cost. I’m also thinking of getting the new pocket handheld Vsmile which uses the same cartridges - very good idea v-tech!!! Overall would give the console 10/10 for value but have to admit would probably not have purchased this at full price!

Review: When I looked at the VSmile prior to Xmas, I noticed they only came with one controller but had the plug for 2 controllers. When I asked the salesman about an extra controller, he told me that he had not seen or knew of extra controllers at the time. As far as power cords go, I bought a universal AC adapter from Big Lots for $4.99 which works great.

Review: My 3 year old loves playing with her new Vsmile. I too found it very frustrating trying to search for the power cord. The Vsmile goes through batteries like crazy. After searching all afternoon I finally found a Universal AC Adapter made by Magnavox that works perfectly. The Vsmile requires a 9V 300MA adapter but I would have to take the unit into Radioshack for the right size plug. The multi plug universal at Radioshack was 39.95 but the Magnovox brand I found at Kmart was only 10.95. I called VTech to complain but they are off for the Holidays. I plan on calling to let them know the level of difficulty in finding this power cord.

Review: I have purchased this for Christmas for my son and have to agree that Vtech "half baked" this idea. I was fortunate to get the controller at toysrus.com but finding the adaptor is a joke! It should come with the system and I am very disappointed that it cannot be found.

Review: My daughter is 5 and enjoys playing with her Vsmile. I have found my 7 year old son playing it too. Although he finds the material easy he is still entertained by the "game" of it. The part that I am most disappointed about is the fact that for $59 it did not come with a power cord. I have been unsuccessfully searching for 3 weeks to find the recommended "Vtech" power adapter. I am also disappointed that I cannot find another controller as the console has 2 controller outlets. Vtech seemed to have half baked the release of this product and have no additional accessories available for purchase. The game selection is very limited. Overall I give the system a 7 out of 10.

Review: My son loved the Vsmile. It is entertaining and fun. He learns when he does not realise it. I only hope they come out with more games.
