Review: SE V800 is great and has everything a cell phone needs. I just need to know now how to connect it to my car stereo! I've tried to find a Hi-Fi connection cable (the W800 has it) for the standard Sony Ericsson outputs but I guess such things haven't been made yet!

Review: I hate my Sony Ericsson V800. I have to reboot it twice a day to be sure that it is connected to the network. Even when I see the power signal lines it is not a guarantee that I can call or receive phone calls. It has some kind of software bug or something. Today I just missed a delivery at home because instead of getting the delivery man’s call he got diverted to the voice mail and one minute later I was announced of this. Also I had some arguments with my wife because of this phone, she said she called me and I did not want to answer, but in fact I could not receive her calls. After rebooting the phone I got the announcement that I was called. So, this week I’m going to change my phone with something else.

Review: This phone is great in all its glory, with the multimedia features it offers BUT it is slow, it crashes, the 1.3megapixel camera is not all its cracked up to be - lots of noise, bad lens, worse than the Nokia 6630 1megapixel camera, it’s not even got good GPRS coverage as most of the time if the phone is working it has no signal at all. I would not recommend this phone ever to anyone, even if they had one of those old car phones you plugged into the car battery.

Review: Nice phone but it does not keep Bluetooth connection with the Motorola Bluetooth car kit, therefore it’s no good in the car. The phonebook search isn’t good either as it’ll only (as far as I have found) search on the first letter of a name.

Review: All you have to do to play ringtones is to activate them - go to mp3 player, choose which ringtone you want to play, click on more, then go to information, then click status and then activate. This might not work the first time as I have been experiencing problems but keep trying and eventually it will work. The V800 is a brilliant phone without question, obviously there are a few drawbacks but not everything is perfect.

Review: This phone is quite possibly the worst phone that I have ever had the misfortune in getting. First of all the phone wont use mp3s as ringtones unless you download a piece of software from the internet, next to make things worse the screen is appalling compared to the so called lower standard phone the k700I, which has a reasonable screen quality. In addition the video quality is awful, it’s blocky and slow and does not capture fast enough. Then to top off all things I have taken the handset back twice. The first time because it was dented and cracked and then fell apart. The second time because the handset fell apart again and also because my coverage completely disappeared. Due to all of these problems I have had to go back to the Sharp GX30 which does not do as much but at least it is as solid as a brick and has a fantastic screen quality. All I have to say is why do Vodafone and Sony Ericsson let themselves down so much by putting their money and name against such a rubbish handset!!!!!!!!

Review: The reviews I’ve seen all agree on several important points, including this one: the 800 has everything multimedia that anyone could possibly wish for these days, except a radio, I believe! Do other people experience that as a miss (I would)? Or do they all have a separate mp3-player including FM radio? I still have a good quality SE k700i and that won't even play the MP3 ringtones that were pre-installed on the phone!! P.S. Thanks everyone for the useful reviews!

Review: I took my V800 back to the shop and exchanged it for the Sharp 902, it’s a much better phone in every way.

Review: Its a very good phone with a huge screen (good quality), good camera, brilliant mp3 player (you get headphones with the phone) and the guy that said his mp3's that he downloaded didn’t work, well you have to activate them first which really isn’t difficult.

Review: I'm quite happy with this phone after buying it today, however BE WARNED that you can't add your MP3's that you've already paid for, or any tracks from your computer - paid or otherwise, as you have to have a DMC Key (or something), which I presume is to stop people sharing MP3's. However, when I'm downloading tracks from Vodafone, the MP3 player STILL won't play them, even though I've paid for them. VERY frustrating, and I can't really see any point to Sony Ericsson doing it! I will be taking this phone back, even though the other features are excellent.

Review: Location: Lausanne, CH
Review: I have owned a V800 for a month now, after switching from my Nokia 8210 I had for 5 years. The V800 has an excellent display, a fantastic sounding MP3 player, good camera (though there is lots of noise in the pictures, the lens is just not good enough), and you can add up to 1Gb of (expensive) MemoryStick Pro Duo. BUT, I would really not recommend that phone to anyone. - It crashes when I start typing a certain combination of characters in an SMS ("l'a"), and then it reboots for 5 minutes - worse than Windows - I sometimes cannot pick up calls (cool, that's one portable answering machine for 600 EUR) - I sometimes cannot make any calls, but that may be linked to the network, - Sometimes it does not ring (re-600 EUR answering machine) - Menu navigation is sloooooooooooooow (very frustrating) - It gets dirty in 2 seconds (damn black outer shell) I will be bringing it back next week to get an other one...

Review: I chose the Sony Ericsson as my own phone and I am very pleased with it. The 3g network coverage in London is very good while gprs is available everywhere. The phone has many features including a bright, colourful screen. The camera is amazing (I didn't notice much difference between the V800's and the sharp's 902 2megapixel one) and the light is extremely good. It supports java games and comes with 3 preloaded. The keypad is slick and the buttons on the side are accessible for quick volume control. The outside screen allows you to take photos, which is cool. You can also turn on the light from the outside. The menu system is easy to use and simple. The phone comes with a media player and when you play a song for example you can minimize the player and do other things. The only grievance I have with the phone is that you cannot shove your memory stick into a computer, download some mp3s and set them as your ringtones, but that should not stop you getting this phone. This phone is truly superb!

Review: Arenít you lucky....! What a cool new phone. Feel like I'm stuck in the stone age over here in the US of A with the T637 being the top of the line Sony Ericsson phone. In the UK these phones are probably being recycled already.....!!!
