Review: GhostSurf 2005 Platinum is the scariest program I've ever paid for. After attempting (yes, pay attention to "attempting") to figure out how it worked, I gave that up and focused on the SpyCatcher part of the program. Before long, I had MAJOR problems. My Spybot Search & Destroy AND my LavaSoft AdAware Adwatch programs were both caught in a continuous "request/denial" loop that repeated itself a minimum of 60 times a minute. It was all about something attempting to delete a global entry for GhostSurf "satellite". Neither program could be stopped regardless of uninstalling GhostSurf. It might be excellent for Super Geeks: people who are paid high wage for their immense knowledge of programming, but NOT recommended by me to anyone who is "just a geek" or a normal computer user. This program is very dangerous in my opinion. After having re-commandeering my own system back, I went to read online about this. Over and over I see people writing about some kind of email spam they get having something to do with prescription drugs. My advice - your money is far better spent on good dining.

Review: Good product, GUI needs a bit of work and when set up correctly it will hide all the important information about your web browsing. The price you pay though is that it can slow your internet access dramatically and when combined with firewall software such as Norton Internet Security, you do get duplicate functionality. Support is good for this product, so it’s good for new users as well as experienced users.
