Review: I loved my NW-HD3 for about 4 months or so. Then the headphone jack started to act up and played my music through one channel (unless I wiggled the jack on it). Other than that it is great. The battery life is 35 hrs. It burns music from my computer onto it nicely. Unfortunately when you pay about $300 US for this beauty and it gives you problems in a few months you scratch your head and say this shouldn't be happening. But as all of Sony's less expensive portable CD players of the past and Cassette Walkmans...you say to yourself...yeah it happens on the $80 walkmans and on these things...I guess they will never get it right... Why can't Sony get with the program and design this expensive player with a wireless headset.... if that were the case...I would just tell you how I love this music library I carry in my bag and play everywhere I go. Oh well...maybe tomorrow.

Review: I have one of these and I think its great. Why buy an iPod if you can have one of these? SonicStage is ok although I would prefer drag and drop. However, I think it looks good and it can hold so much.

Review: Great machine, when it works! I got it in April – and it was dead by August. I managed to get it repaired but it was again dead by October. All the Sony-centres in my area are now in receivership so I have had to send it off for repair – which is more hassle. That's twice I've lost all my mp3s and I'm noticing a pattern of destruction here that makes me want to steer clear of Sony mp3 players. I really like the machine, it has great sound, great battery life – I’m just gutted I've been so unlucky with it.

Review: After getting fed up of walking round with pockets full of mini discs, I decided to get an mp3 player. The bad reviews of the iPod put me off immediately, and I went with Sony again. I'd listened to iPod’s before and the sound quality was not good. I was amazed by the manual mixing setting, which meant I could set a sound which suited my music and tastes best, fantastic. The battery life too blew me away, and even with 12GB taken up so far, the thing still lasts much longer than other mp3's. Of course there’s a bad side, I've also had a problem with the battery, and after about 6 months the player started playing up, and I had to get it sorted. But on the whole the sound quality, battery life and size make up for it, it even makes up for the fact I can only manage to install sonic stage 3 to laptops without internet connections. Well done Sony (I just need a bigger one now).

Review: I have had Sony NW - HD3 for about six month now. I am amazed by the amount of music I can fit in, but I am very disappointed, first by the sound quality, I have an Ipod Suffle, and I think that the sound quality is much better than Sony, with the same mp3. The software is average, I cannot even order the songs by alphabetic order and after a while it starts being messy. On top of everything else is very difficult to find the right accessorises (portable speakers, headphones, etc).

Review: I bought this MP3 player for my sister and I liked it so much I got myself one. I did have a Samsung 20GB mp3 player, which was ok, it had a recorder and radio but the battery life was only 9 hrs. This new Sony mp3 is much small, has great sound, 40 hrs (nearly) battery life. The software is so weak and I use Windows Media Player to record and SonicStage to transfer.

Review: I’m very impressed with the Sony hd3 mp3 player. I’ve put a lot of music on it and it looks like I’ll never be able to fill it up! I’m also impressed that it’s also a portable hard-drive. I’ll be doing a lot of travelling soon so it’ll be handy to save documents too. The only thing I’ve got to work out is how to delete music from it?

Review: When I bought my mp3 player from Sony I was amazed by the amount of songs that it could hold, and how easy it was to load them onto it. Unfortunately, 3 months after I bought it, it stopped turning on, so I thought the battery had gone, but when I charged it up, it still wouldn't turn on. So I got it replaced and so far it has been good. I recommend this to everyone looking for an mp3 player which holds a lot of music and is suitable to carry it in your bag.

Review: I’ve had my NW-HD3 for a couple of weeks now and it’s GREAT! Battery life is amazing, sound quality is awesome and as others have said, the Sonic Stage isn’t really that bad at all. It looks cool too, with its aluminum case, it’s so much better than the iPod, and on sale now for under £150.00 - if you are thinking of buying an MP3, you really should consider this little beauty!

Review: This Mp3 player is amazing and ‘sonicstage’ isn’t that bad. It’s got a brilliant battery life and immense sound quality so if you don’t want an iPod get one of these!

Review: The NW-HD3 is the absolute best; it beats the pants off an iPod any day. It’s far sexier, has far better sound quality, far better looking, far cheaper, smaller and plus not everyone’s got one, which is what happens with an iPod, who wants what everyone else has got?

Review: I just picked up my red version yesterday (2.26.05) and I got to say I'm in love, this is one stunning gadget and you can feel the quality the first time you pick it up. The sound is great, be sure to pick up some good headphones because the ones that come with it are less than desirable. I’ve heard many complaints about the bundled software (SonicStage) but I have yet to notice any problems after converting around 50 CD's and copying over hundreds of mp3s. Great device and I highly recommend it!
