Review: I got some NIMH batteries and a 256mb memory stick and straight away ‘job done’. I’ve taken 250+ pictures on the first day with fantastic results. The zoom 10x is one of the best it’s great for so many shots. How anyone can gripe about this product is sad because you get a whole lot of camera for your money. So you can only get 200-300 pictures out of your batteries, I just think you need to go back to basics. It’s fantastic value for the money - go grab a bargain today! 9/10

Review: This camera is great. As far as the batteries go I get around 300 photos out of my 2600mh rechargeable’s that’s with also using the flash. It’s a great camera.

Review: It's a great little Camera, but as I really wanted a Digital SLR, I skimped and bought this instead, and am also disappointed by the EVF. Manual focusing is nigh on impossible using it. I am probably going to eBay it and get an EOS 300D instead! Besides that small detail, it's easy to use, and despite the review, has a great battery life with 2000+ mAh NiMH AAs. Handles well, and produces flattering shots, and has an incredible x10 optical zoom. I'd also fault the misplaced tripod thread and lack of MPEG4 compression for the otherwise great VGA 30fps video mode, which produces huge AVI files that will fill my 256MB xD card with just under 4 minutes of video. I do also miss the ability to zoom and focus with a lens ring, and a CF slot, things the S7000 has.
