Review: I think that Apple and Bose did a great job with the design of this fabulous sound player. I feel that what others have stated about the functionality of the remote control is absolutely correct; I too wish it would control more of the menu options of the iPod. However, I use this system in my dorm room at college and have people stop by all of the time to comment on the sound, and even those asking me to turn it down because they can hear it through the walls. Is there anyway to know how loud you can turn this up thought without hurting it? But by far this is the one and only system I will ever purchase. Great job Bose/Apple you made a winner!!

Review: I've yet to see a single review that mentions the frequency range of this device, not even on the Bose site. One should have thought this would be a given for comparison shopping.

Review: I think the SoundDoc is absolutely brilliant I first saw one in a local Bose shop and was blown away by the sound quality. I was so impressed I bought one and at the time hadn’t even got a iPod. It was bought for a holiday apartment abroad to provide an alternative to a broken mini hi-fi. I can fill up the iPod with my complete CD collection take the complete collection with me. I’m so impressed I’m ordering one to use at home to provide music in my kitchen (or anywhere else) OK so it may be a little pricey but on a pound for pound value basis it is the best.

Review: I think the Bose Sound Dock is fabulous. The design is sleek, simple and no nonsense, would suit every room. The sound is crystal clear, pretty spectacular I have to admit. The price is a bit high but worth every penny. The only minor problem is the Infrared remote, which controls only basic functions. Overall, a great invention!

Review: I have to agree with the overall tone of the review, seeing the Sound Dock as overpriced, with many disappointments regarding capabilities. My main complaint seems to have been overlooked by others. THE REMOTE!! Pointless, in my opinion, due to the fact that it has only basic functions, and cannot navigate through the iPods windy and complicated menu. Limited with play, pause, stop, fwd and rwd... I don't know why they bother with a remote at all, since at some point, you’re going to be faced with the request that the remote won’t do. I mean, if Bose is making this exclusively for the iPod - which is what they did, why not make the remote iPod compatible?? All that's missing is a menu and select button. Come on Bose... Figure it out!

Review: This product is superb and I can’t say enough about it. After hearing one demoed it convinced me to buy an iPod (I wouldn’t use it much 'on the go' but this Bose system convinced me that I could very happily use an iPod as a stand alone home music system). The cost is high, however I was in the States at the time I heard one in action and they retail there for only $299, saving me somewhere in the region of £100 on our 'rip-off Britain' price! Also there is no issue with the different voltage between UK and USA models, the system accepts either and all you need in addition is an adapter to fit a UK power outlet. If you find yourself Stateside in the near future, pick one up!

Review: Hi, in your review you say the SoundDock has a "wobbly" insert that the iPod sits in, this is infact a Bose engineered technology that supports the iPod and protects it from the vibrations given out from the speakers. It is meant to be wobbly! The system was design by both Apple and Bose together and this is why there is no other input into the system apart from the iPod, it is designed purely to work with the iPod to deliver great rich sound that is also crystal clear. Also, 60gig iPod adapters are available from Bose, contact their head office to get hold of one.

Review: Okay, it is expensive but the sound is simply wonderful. I like it so much I have just bought a third (yes that is correct 3) one for our main bedroom :-) The other two are located, one in the lounge and one in my study - I work from home a lot. Not quite as daft as it may at first sound, as both myself, my wife and both my sons have iPods (different generations) but they all fit in the Bose, so we can all play our choice of music where we want - without the headphones.
