Review: Owning the XDA IIi has been a painful experience. As a PDA it's good - I especially like the WiFi and being able to pick up emails remotely. However - as a phone it is dangerously useless in business use - the amount of calls I've missed or been unable to answer because of software crashes renders this machine useless as a business tool, so it’s time to change. Also - although web browsing with WIFI is more than possible, a 320 X 240 screen is unusable on most sites - you could easily fit a higher resolution screen in the same space.... Could so easily be a truly great device with a little more thought...

Review: I've waited a long time for my II, before that I stood firm with my tried and tested 6210 (Nokia) and Vx (Palm), the first instalment (Xda) wasn't enough for me. But when the II came out... it was love, so to speak. I currently have the O2 Xda II, and it is a brilliant device. Sure the SE-P800, 900 and 910i have that nifty jog-dial on the left side, but all these models sorely lack the power for the more serious mobile users. Between the models released by Asus, Toshiba, HP-Compaq, et al, they have all gone lacking in my opinion. The II isn't perfect, but it brings together all the basics in a powerful package. Sure, the Palm Life Drive packs on an impressive 5GB's, but it is huge and you need another device to stay in the communications loop. The Treo 650 is quite handsome, but that keyboard and screen needs more... space. The O2 Mini does come with a 1.3 camera, but then again, the Mini feels more like an experiment... a beta-test into a smaller screen - which does not really work, if you are looking to do some real work. The IIs' slide out keyboard is a great innovation, but we all know how moving parts over time do tend to become rather loose. Besides, that glide-out board makes the IIs unfriendly to foldable portable keyboards, not to mention you can't have the O2 backpack with the IIs. I've got my eyes set on the IIi as the next step.

Review: Good, but the battery life is very short - 4 hours only on PDA mode.

Review: As this is the first Pocket PC that I have ever owned (well apart from loads of laptops!) it's a little early to write my opinion down but (why not anyway!!) so hear goes: It's very easy to navigate using windows (not long before a virus then!!)and it's ok for watching film clips but the best thing that (I) like about it is that it's very, very easy to get (and download) MP3 (Or 4!) music from the O2 Active website (you will have to add this software module yourself!) But mine was already installed because I bought it from (O2!!)... I am at the moment trying to find a few good software games for it but I am not going to pay (silly!) money for a very small programme! (No names mentioned!!). Bluetooth is quite good BUT it sometimes saves a transferred program to the stupidest of places! Anyway, on the whole I think it's not a bad attempt at helping teckies get mobile!

Review: The first thing to say is that if you want just a phone with some cool extra features, don't buy this. If your organisational and communicative skills are limited to texting your friends with 'Wnt 2 go 2 pub tnght? Don’t buy this. If, however, you actually need the power of windows apps and full HTML browsing on a QVGA screen but don't want to carry a phone and a PDA, then this is a good item to have. The quality of the voice calls is not great if you hold the unit to your ear, but is perfect through the supplied headset and let’s face it, unless you've got a head the size of a small planetoid you're going to look pretty silly holding this up to your face. Buy MS Voice Command and leave it in your pocket unless you need to work.

Review: I’ve owned this device for about 4 months now. This is a great product. The operating system is far better than Symbian (I had the Motorola a920 before owning this). The only negative is that the leather case bulks the phone out too much. I would also like to see 3G.

Review: I have the O2XDAII predecessor to the IIi and have loaded MS2003SE onto the PDA. I cannot speak highly enough of the XDA and use it in conjunction with my desktop PC. Having the ability to jump on the internet via GPRS or to my email server allows me to have my "office" with me at all times. I have found the windows suit excellent and use MS excel often, in fact I carry our price list with over 11000 product items on board. If you add an SD card 512mb or 1 GB then you have one terrific system. I did have some teething problems initially but now it works very well. I would like to upgrade to the IIi but will wait until they become more affordable. Most of my friends, colleagues and business associates (including my wife) have them and swear by them.

Review: Having tried the Nokia Communicator (9000 series), Sony Ericsson P800, P900, and P910, I must say I am impressed by the XDA IIi. Admittedly if you don't use the features, you're not using the phone to its fullest extent, but juggling two shift based jobs as well as an intensive client email list forces me to have quite a demanding expectation of my phones. I'm happy to say that the phone has more than impressed me and I've yet to sync it with my desktop. All in all a well thought out design but you 'have' to use it to truly appreciate it.

Review: I am also disappointed with this product. It is my first smart phone device and having bought it on Friday evening, it was back in the shop by Saturday lunch time. I was so relieved to get back to my Nokia 6310i and a pencil and notebook. If you're given the device with work then great, but if you have to buy it yourself I wouldn't bother.
