Talk / Gadgets / Phones / Good package with the U600?

By benstuart, Fri 22 Jun 2007 at 5:52pm      Link

Well I've been waiting for new releases but I've finally snapped and decided to get a new phone :) The samsung u600 has been on top of the charts for 6 weeks now according to mobile today, and I've had a fiddle with it at Carphone warehouse - loved it!

I'm wondering who has the best package on the u600.. guess it's off to Oxford street.. :D

Hi Ben - don't know if you'll need to go as far as Oxford Street - if you Google "Web specials Samsung U600" - there's some pretty tasty looking deals out there...

Thanks for the suggestion elliott, after looking around I found much better deals online than I saw in the stores. In fact I found the U600 on a '12 month free' deal! Its on Vodafone from free line rental mobiles. Only thing is I have to send in statements to receive my line rental back.

Still.. I'm a happy camper! :) Amazing what you can find online these days.

I know this is an old thread, but I am hoping someone will reply...

I bought a free line rental deal through Find A Phone, which I have been happy with.

The actual deal is with mobiles2yourdoor.

The only thing that is bothering me now is that a friend who bought one of these deals last year said that the company (mobile outlet) had gone bust and he lost his cash back.

Is this common? I looked into Mobiles2YourDoor.co.uk and it looks like they have been in business for a while, but it did make me wonder whether, with these "12 months free line rental" deals, how much, if any protection the network give you.

In my friends case, the network told him it was between him and the retailer... they were not interested in the fact he lost his promise of cashback, and with it his free phone deal.

Then again, I suppose there is no such thing as a free lunch is there!!
